The Military mudflaps have a different mount, flat, not angled like the civilian x-members, so standard mudflaps wont work.................

back to mud flaps, do you have to cut them to fit around the exhost pipe on a series 2a, 88?

Les, I have a set of original Rover flaps on my 1962 IIA 109 EX FFR. The Rover was redone by a Rover specialist in Switzerland that restored old and kitted out new 110 CKds for expedition. A really neat place.

He said that these flaps were very difficult to get. The LR on the back is raised and yellow. The mount is different than on my 109 Stationwagon. I can take a picture and send it to you but will not be until weekend.

Try https://secure.pablanchard.co.uk/default.asp. They advertise that they are military land rover specialists.

If you have the correct exhaust system, you do not need the cut the flaps. They sit behind the exhaust pipe on the 88"...

On the 109 military mud flaps the LH side flap has a cut out specifically to allow, which my exhaust does, the exhaust to pass through it.

My mistake. Did not see the reference to the 88. I thought you were refering to question from Les.

PH4,

Can you post a few pics of your (109) military mud flaps?

Thanks,

Have tried but I have photos in email and cannot attach or copy and paste. I have actually emailed photos to Les and he is posting my LR in classifieds with photos. If not there now, should be in a day. You can also send me your email and I will forward photos.

I have purchased the Military Mud Flaps from Art in the past for my 109 and it was a direct fit. No cutting involved. Pics coming shortly.
