Idle problems

Hi guys , i have a 2003 model 4.4, the problem is the idle,its low aprrox 450/500 rpm, it does,nt return to idle as it should,ie,it drops from 1000 rpm,and drops low 350 rpm ish and then bounces up, any ideas would be welcome.

i would first check Throttle position sensor, cracked vacuum lines, or a loose hose clamp. does the vehicle throw codes? if so which ones?
