Well Grey Market vehicle in the US. 2 doors widely sold in Europe from like 1970 to 1993 or was it 94/95. Sold as V8, and diesel. Nice truck, price ok depending on how much rust. google RR 2 door might do the trick.

They sold 300tdi 2 door Rangies in France in the early 90's....

but yes UK sales ended in the mid 80's....

Just trying to say if you really want a 2 door Rangie either go pre 76 simple no electrical things or 300tdi with all the bells and whistles.

Wow, didn't know about the French-market ones.... I was just quoting http://www.lrfaq.org/FAQ.2.Ident.RR.html

But I concur, early Rangies are cool, being more "Series-like" w/ less Lucas involvement....

In this discussion of 2-door Range Rover Classics, let's not forget to mention the CSK edition.

Take a look at this rather comprehensive website I found on the CSK:

Have a great day,

An 86 eh if your not going to get it hook me up!! IIve got a 78 but that 5 speed is pretty slick in the 86 to 94 models compared to my clunky indestructable 4 gear!!
It would be like upgrading from a series to a defender!!
As a side note the 2door is the only affordable Rangie they were all basic work trucks kinda the fleetline Rangie no gizmos or fancy stuff it was updated a bit as the years went by but only the bare basics...... except the CSK of course.
The body changed from bolt together to welded at the end of the 85 model year because no two trucks looked excactly the same(panel gap) which is not a good thing in the US market.

1200.00?... Man, do it. As long as it's not too rusted out.

I have a '75 2 door that I have for the SECOND time!

Bought it in 1994. Sold it in '96 to a guy in California (I'm in TX) and kicked myself everyday since. Then in spring of '07, I found THE same one for sale in Calif. for 3,000.00.....Half of what I sold it for ten years earlier. Granted it's not what it was ten years ago, but I have slowly been bringing it back to life.

I love my 2 door. Whenever I've had it out, I get all kinds of questions and looks like what the heck is that? It will go practically anywhere. It has the 5 spd. and is perfect...

It does sound like a jet airliner taking off, but oh well. I'll never give it up again as long as I live. The only thing I'd take in return is a brand new 110 tdi5 in B. gray and that will never happen. Finding parts can be tough, but with UK google and UK e-bay it's amazing what you can find...

Good luck,
Bryhn
