♨ Exhaust Manifold Super Hot♨rest of engine is cool? HELP..

When I start her (2000 Land Rover Discovery 2) up within sec/minutes the Exhaust Manifold becomes Super Hot while rest of engine is cool! I'm no mechanic so the simplest of things I haven't thought of.. Also looked like smoke coming from oxygen sensor & she sounded like she was going to stall but then corrected herself. ANY SUGGESTIONS would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to Everyone for your Time and Compassion!
