Friend Writting a book, needs accurate info

I have an unusual question for the forum: A friend is writing a book (I don't know details, but this is his fifth book) that has a Land Rover in it. In the book, an evil F150 driver is shooting at a land rover which takes 3 9mm rounds in the rear window. The question is, is the rear window in a Land Rover (Year immaterial for the purpose of the story) safety glass? I remember my old Series II did not have a safety glass windshield (My son's head shattered it one winter, but not sure it was OEM). It's important to him that everything be accurate, so if anybody knows, is the rear window safety glass? Have they always been safety glass? I guess we should include the big window in the door, and the two smaller windows on the side of the rear door.
