Are you looking for something like this:

My Series III came with a small radio console that mounts under the dash in front of the shifter. Not sure if original but it does not get in the way. You could build a mold out of wood and lay a fibreglass cloth over it. Just a thought.

does that thing fly!
Can someone tell me what the red pull switch is in the center, to the left of the fan? (by the toggle switch) I have one, the graphis are rubbed off and I forgot to ask when I bought the truck.Originally Posted by LH Drive

I found one that works well . Problem is that it is not listed on the website.
ROVERSNORTH would do well to buy a lot of these and sell them to us so we don't have to search for them.
Call jc whitney ask for the plastic radio mount, if you buy a radio from them they give one to you free. It is designed out of thick black plastic, light wrinckle coat not golss, the operator said that it was an " under dash radio mount" for very old american trucks. It has a bunch of pre drilled holes and works very well . I will try to post a pic from my last use....my unimog .
e-mail me and I will send the pic directly.
Kris and the new to me series 3 swb George the III
notice that the radio is tilted up this is considered backwards , but as I have installed it above the shelf rather than below , it allows me to see beter.
