It's not the door locks themselves, but the actuators that have either seized or failed. There is no way to fix them, they must be replaced. To help the remaining door latches and working actuators, as they tend to seize after a while, you need to get several cans of Waxoyl 120-4 and spray both the door latch and inside the door with the extension nozzle. Spray the door hinges as well to prevent rust.
For the taildoor handle, you take an eyeglass screwdriver and pop out the Land Rover badge. Take the Waxoyl and spray the handle springs, then put the extension nozzle in the opening on the upper right side of the handle, and spray into the door itself. That is the only way to prevent the handle from sticking. But once the actuator goes, it must be replaced.
RN has the actuators, and is also a Waxoyl distributor. Don't forget to also use Waxoyl on the fuel door pin, the taildoor retaining link to the body at the base of the cargo area, and the link slide under the taildoor.
