Question '01 DII falls on it's face during acceleration

    Hey all,
I have tried searching and haven't found the exact same thing.
My DII runs great and will get up to speed. It will not accelerate!! If you ease into the gas it will get there, just not quickly. If you are at "any" steady speed, then hit the gas, it will fall on it's face. I mean, it will actually slow down until you back out of the gas then it's fine again. It does the same thing when I'm on the highway running 65 into a headwind, it won't get to 70. When it needs that extra power it falls flat!!
I have done most of the normal repairs and replacements and here is the list in no order......Alternator, front driveshaft, coolant res. tank, brake res. tank, water pump, all rubber plumbing, head gaskets and up, fuel pump, plugs and wires.
I know these don't all effect this issue. I just want you to know how much I want to make this work.
    Thanks,
