    Default European Motoring Badges

Anyone here know much about European motoring club badges, Alps Motoring Contest medals, or oval country of origin decals/badges? I have quite a collection handed down to me by my grandmother from her travels around Europe. I'm trying to find out if I have something worth holding on to.

If anyone here is actually interested in this stuff and can offer advice, I would be happy to post some pictures.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Yes, please post photos. I also have some from when my Grandfather took delivery of his new 1961 Mercedes at the factory. They traveled around Europe and collected grille badges from various countries. Just like to see what you have. I prefer to use the ones handed down to me rather than sell them off.

Very nice! These could *possibly* fetch a good amount for you through the right channels. I'm registered over on http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/forum.php and it is amazing what levels some Porsche fanatics (and uber car enthusiasts like ourselves ) will do to find badges like these.

If you are really interested in selling, there are some buyers and collectors that should snatch these up. I can get you in touch if you like, just let me know.

I do really like this white badge on the right and if you are feeling generous I'm sure it would look proper donated on the front of my R53 MINI Cooper S... Doesn't hurt to ask.

All of my hand-me-down badges are exactly like the Luxembourg one you have shown in the lower left. They are very nice, small and hark back to the old world solid build quality.

For some real European flavor, I mounted my vintage Suisse badge on my German export plate on my Oxford, UK built, designed in Germany and England MINI Cooper S.

The badge is actually silver plated. Both the gold & silver badges are new, never mounted. I think they have only been out of the box a few times. I guess unless these things turn out to be worth a small fortune, I'll just hang on to them.
