Thread: EPA diesel ban

    Default EPA diesel ban

I'm doing a presentation for an Environmental policy class and I was gonna ask if any of y'all know what the name of the implemented policy that bans diesel Land Rover engines.

Thanks for your help and if you have anything you would like to contribute I'd be glad to add it in (and give you credit of course).

There's nothing that "bans" them - its a matter of them not having been through the compliance process. Any engine sold here has to be engineer to comply with certain parameters and then be "type approved" for the vehicle and configuration it is sold in.

Its up to the manuafacturer to demonstrate compliance, and they don't necessarily go to the trouble unless they plan on selling the vehicle in the US market.
