    Very cool idea. That's an example of the kind of thinking I lack. Instead of an easy, elegant solution to a problem I generally find the hardest, least efficient way to maybe get something done.

    Your project is another of the really good looking restorations that this site is good for documenting, good job.

    You can get those scissor jacks from the junk yard for $5 each or 2 for $15 .Make sure its a hex head drive not like the one in the pic.I'd get two for the project.My first one crapped out half way through the fourth bushing.If I was smart I would have pulled the old through with the new one.Then again that maybe too much friction.
