    Too true. I was rear-ended a few weeks ago in a different car (22 year old Merc 300d). It was at a stop sign and the offender couldn't have been going more than 5 miles an hour when he bumped me. The result was a pushed in rear panel, pushed in bumper and cracked light. Bumper alone costs about $1500 to replace.

    Long story short, the 300 was totaled by the insurance company.

    They have no idea though. I would have been screaming blue ****** if they tried to total my rover!

    Well look at the bright side, you have a diesel to swap into the Rover.
