    Default Triumph Stag

    Hey Guys,

I'm tying to surprise the wife and buy her a Triumph Stag like she had in the UK. Any one have any leads on one? It needs to be a manual and in good condition. I would gladly pay a finders fee for anything that leads to a purchase.

    Derek,

Lucky wife I have always wanted one, and test drove one 10 years ago in LA....didn't pull the trigger.

Anyway, I am sure you already know this, but manual (w/overdrive) is the most desirable-and most rare. Watch out for the known engine issues that gave it the name Triumph SNAG! I THINK it had to do with cooling issues, and also the heads were notorious for warping along with timing chain problems. That said, I would still want one!

I found two (know nothing of them), but if they are as advertised are probably smoking deals!
