    Default New D1 Owner

I just picked up a 1998 D1 to add to the stable. On the drive back it sure went faster than the 109! As a new Disco owner I am sure I will be asking lots of questions.

You are in good company I went newer to older though. My first was the 2003 D2 and the disease/sickness spread from there as I got rid of my Jeeps. Now I have 4 of the danged things and throw spanners on a much more regular basis. Actually, my 98 D1 has been the best old truck I've ever had oddly enough. My 03 has been the problem child. I do not know if it is sibling jealousy or what. Now she is finally acting up with an intermittent warm start issue that will not prove itself. Getting gas is ok, but parked for 10-30 minutes she half the time is hessitant to start and runs rough for a few moments before smoothing out. 205k man, never had the heads off. Wish I could say the same for the 03... Welcome to Disco ownership! Nothing goes offroad as well as these do stock...Little love from OME and ARB and they go anywhere you point them.
