Default Storing a Frame on Side

    Hi all,

Any suggestions for how I can store my frame on its side? I need to clear up some space in my garage. Will I damage the outriggers if I just set it on them?

You could always rig up some ropes and pulleys to a roof beam or something sturdy if your garage has anything and hang it. Spread out the load among a few sets of pulleys then just sort of hang in on a wall. There was a 1947 Pacer airplane suspended above me in the hangar years ago. Felt like i was in an air museum. Not sure how longterm you are thinking but it could double as a shelf too!

Just put it on blocks so they take the weight instead of the out riggers

    Default perfectly OK to do.

I stored my military 88 frame for two months along a wall in my garage while I parked my (long departed) D90 next to it. I did use a build up of 2x4's to support the Main box so that the attachments for the fuel cells were not touching the ground, when I righted the frame to build "Cedryck" it was in perfect shape.

It should be fine, unless you do something really silly- they aren't eggs!

You won't harm it storing it on it's side.
