    thanx for ur input...I am just starting to try to figure this 109 out.....bought her off ebay and she is first one I have been around..

    I'd bet a nickel the u-joints are toast. I have a 109 and this is the first LR I've ever owned but I've had alot of old trucks. The joints are always neglected.
    Hope you are stubborn and determined.
