Default Rover Series II 109 History

We are starting to research the history of our Rover. It was originally sent to Hawaii I believe as CKD since the VIN is a 1959 # but the registration is 1961. Any help with learning how to trace the truck from the factory and thereafter would be appreciated. Thanks.

at one point Land Rover had a department it called Traceability, and would give information on chassis number and engine number, I a have documentation telling me my 1965 2a went to Ministry of Defense. I sadly doubt they do this any more. Too Bad.

Punch your chassis number in to the little window on this site, gives a good outline of what your looking for:

Sure thing Les, I have a whole file of them, but I use them sparingly on this forum, because most are affiliated with places that sell the same parts as our hosts.
