    Default 1983 Stage 1 V8 For Sale

All the benefits of a defender at 1/3 the price

Life dictates that I need to sell my baby. This is a very unique Land Rover and will hold value. You can research here
    http://www.landroverv8.com/history.html

You can see more photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/4189916...7630103270874/

    The Good
Rebuilt 4.0 motor with less than 3K miles
    New Edelbrock Intake Manifold
    New Edelbrock Carb
New Rovers North Gas Tank and filler tube

    New high amp alternator
Pertronix Distributor and Coil (makes starting very nice!)
    Old Man EMU Shocks
    Old Man EMU Steering Stabilizer
Rovers North Parabolic Leaf Springs (smooth)
    New Check Straps
All diff and tranny oils changes to appropriate Red Line
    New front and back mudflaps
    New Hella H4 eCode headlights
    New turn and marker lights
    Mudstuff 12v sockets
Mudstuff Center Switch panel and Red E switches
    Hella Horns
Smaller Leather Steering wheel from Paddock (still have original)
    Tuffy Stereo Console
    New passenger bottom seat
    New brake pads
Five new BFG Mud Terrain T/A KM2 Tires

She also has the overdrive. Easily cruises at 65 to70 mph.

    Now the bad.
Has some of the usual Land Rover leaks - over door if rain blows sideways.
Very superficial rust in rear bumper and in passenger rear wheel well.
One superficial rust spot on bulk head
Needs paint as the red is faded.

Otherwise, you would be very lucky to find a Rover with this much already sorted out. Check it out! http://www.flickr.com/photos/4189916...7630103270874/

x2! and by chance did you get this off ebay from a fellow named Eric Doudrick (sp?) I bought an lt95 overdrive from him and never received some parts.
My stage 1 project should be finally complete within this month...

This Stage 1 is alive and well in So. Cal. (As Firemanshort already knows...)

It's had a lot of small mechanical things tended to, a winch has been added, a second spare tire, a roof rack, 1 ton shackles for a slightly higher lift, a new exhaust system and a slew of other small items. It was a nice truck when I got it and after a year or so, it has several trips to Arizona and Baja under it's belt. Using it as a DD, so there's always a little list going of things to improve. Very well sorted and lots of fun.

Forgot to mention the lights... They make a big difference in Baja at night.
