Default Putting Pickup cab on a 88 that was originally a regular top??? Questions Hardware

I have a 1966 88 that i am wanting to put a pickup cab on. That way I have a regular top and a pickup cab. I am going to restore everything all at once and i want to make sure i have all the parts needed for pickup cab. I see people asking about spacers. Will a pickup cab not bolt directly on? Or is there a spacer that is needed? Please advise, thanks

You need a piece that bolt on the top of the intermediate bulkhead. It spans the width of the truck and is about 4" or so deep. It is what the back of the cap top bolts too and there will be a gap if not used. Just went to take a picture of mine and now I can't find it... Still feeling the aftershock from moving a year ago!

Last time I bought one from our host but can't find it now. That was the easy part back then, the hard part was finding the correct brackets for the upper seatbelt mount. Our helpful hosts found those for me too!

Arlo is correct, there is a spacer piece the mounts to the bulkhead behind the seat. The PU top extends beyond the bulkhead and this part fills the gap and supports the back of the PU top. This part is NLA and can be very difficult to find. I saw the seatbelt mounts for sale somewhere recently so they should be available or may come with a PU top.

It's currently installed and not for sale, sorry. I switch from full top to truck top in the winter. It's much warmer as a truck.

good luck, I was looking for one of these spacers for some time, no luck. If you do not have a PU top you may be able to get one w/ a top. Seems like there were a few of those around. I understand why someone wouldn't want to seperate them.
I think our host has the seatbelt brackets. Do you have a PU top already?

I would like to buy one if anyone knows of one that is reasonable and support brackets.
