Default '67 NADA front axle question

Would anyone be able to explain the front axle differences between '67 NADA and a '66 with four cylinder?

I know the '67 has different part number, the leaf springs are different and the front prop-shaft is longer.

is the differential the same and axle case different?

    any insight would be appreciated

6cyl has 3" wide brakes (and drums) and larger wheel cylinders. I haven't seen any other difference in the actual axle assembly.
Yeah, I just checked my parts book, the brakes from the backing plate out are different.

Four wheel drive allows you to get stuck
    in places even more inaccessible.

    you're right, I missed that

the brake cylinders on the 6 cylinder engine are a different size / bolt pattern, they aren't interchangeable

In a prior restoration, I had spare brake cylinders from a 4 cylinder, they wouldn't fit the 6 cylinder, the backing plates are different.

to be clear, I'm pretty certain that the reason for the different axle assembly PN is because they come with the brakes as part of the assembly.
