    Default Stewart-Warner instruments

Anyone familiar with these. I have a SW tach in my 109 station wagon. I'm looking over all the gauges as I'm doing this rebuild, and researching them. I also have a Jaeger clock that looks pretty cool. Never had the truck running, so I don't know if any of them work.

I'm not familiar with the SW gauges but if you are looking to replace them I'm currently a fan of the VDO Series I family of gauges. They are more accurate than the old Smiths gauges and they do not require a voltage stabilizer.

Those look really nice. Thanks for the info. The price is really good too. What gauges are you running?

Do you want to go hi-tech or old school ? Myself, I like the old black & white SW gauges for a '60's restoration....USA style, Donnie

Definitely old school. The VDO gauges could fit that bill if need be.

I replaced the old smiths gauge for oil psi with one from a local auto store like Napa, although not original by any means it does work nicely, and lights up as it should.

SW has been around for a long time. Good quality. Not sure if you can still get the exact same model as you have there but you can still get SW gauges new.
I always thought the white faced, nautical pointer style gauges would be...different....in a series truck!

I may have some of these black & white "old style" gauge's packed away in my flea mkt. Rover....If I do, I will send you a PM..so as not to load the board with 4 sale item's....Is this an acceptable practice?......LET ME KNOW IF I AM IN VIOLATION, PLEASE....Donnie
