Default 1965 SIIA 88” LHD Petrol (SOLD)

If you’re looking for a good runner, you're too late... IT'S BEEN SOLD

Yeah, it’s got the kind of patina that only a true land rover enthusiast can appreciate, but it’s still badass.

When I got it, it wasn’t running and was kinda crusty. I had a new gas tank and outrigger installed. I put in a new master cylinder and new Interstate MT34 Battery. I also went and found an original grill and badges to round out the cosmetics. It still needs a few things like some lights, but don’t let that scare you away (The ones that are there glow just fine)

All work was professionally done, but the most important upgrades are seen where the rubber meets the road. Those original wheels weren’t quite cutting it, so I decided to run a wider tire (Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 31x10.5x15 ) on a set of 15” ROAM WHEELS which I had galvanized and mounted. Oh yeah, and I went the extra mile and had the 5th one done to make sure you get the authentic experience of carrying the spare on the bonnet.

Basically, you get a wider stance for greater vehicle stability, more affordable tire choices and a more aggressive look. Not to mention the fact that they work perfectly with the Timm Cooper Disc Brake Conversion that I had done as well. The Four (4) Disc Brakes totally up the game for the braking performance on your Series vehicle so you can feel safe driving on freeways and confident when tackling the most demanding off-road situations.

I still have all of the original stuff, in case you’re a fundamentalist.

Other than that, it’s got the hardtop (as you can see), an American Bosch heater, Warn locking hubs on the front wheels, and four jump seats in the back, all of which could use some TLC, plus a few extras, for good measure.

HANG ON?????? What is up with the pedals? Is my old man eye sight deceiving me, or is your skinny gas pedal on the left??

Also - no front pax seat?
I assume you just put the spare on the bonet for looks as it isn't centered?
    Is the heater hooked up?
Also - what about the engine? Pics and what work have you done to it? Does it still have Solex carb - or is it converted to Weber?

1971Series88 - In response to your post: that "skinny pedal" on the left would be the clutch.
I have all of the seats; however, they were removed at the time of the picture, but will go with the rover to it's new home.
The heater is there, but the hoses to the window units are not.
It does have an engine, which works. Solex carb. Bone stock. I can send more pics via text if you are really interested.
    Hope that helps.
