Thread: WANTED SWB Series III 88

Default WANTED SWB Series III 88

I was born in '71. I'm looking for a '71 Series PROJECT for an eventual daily driver. I'm a soldier in New England (CT) who would like a '71 Series III SWB Diesel, but I am interested in any early-mid '70s Series Project. I'm going to remove and install every single bolt for inspection (might take finished Series thru Darien Jungle); consequently, I don't need or want what someone considers done or close-to-done.

    Hi Ron-
I'm in north central CT, very close to BDL. I'll keep an eye out for anything around here.

Diesel 88s are VERY rare in US. But I can get you one (running only) pretty much any year you want between $8 and 16K pending condition. I have a "roverhauled" '76 FS right now. PM me if you want more info.

There is a gent in Waterbury Ctr VT that has a '71 88. Petrol, galvi frame, needs bulkhead and seatbox work. He seems anxious to sell to move on to other projects.
