Default Burningman And the BlackRock Desert

I have thrown this invite out several years in a row to others in the Rover community.

I am again attending the Burningman Festival in the middle of the Black
RockDesert of Nevada from Aug 27 through September 3, 2007. After the festival
inthe desert , I am off for a week of off roading down into California and to
visit Timm Cooper of BCB Off Road and have him do a little work on my 101 Forward Control.

I wanted to invite my fellow Rover friends a little earlier this year to
consider attending. If you are unfamilar with the Burningman Festival, I
suggest you read the web page at www.Burningman.com and understand that it is
not a "Hippy Festival. It is more about mad inventors, big machines, and
    artists than anything else.

It is the best place I could imagine hanging out with Rover folks and enjoying a
    fun road trip.

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have on the subject.

If you simply want to be a part of the adventures after September 3rd and down
into the Sierras, we can arrange a meeting place and continue the travels.

I will be camping with a machinist friend from Salem who is completing the
construction of a 4 ton, eight legged, walking spider art project. It's quite
    an exciting engineering feat!!!

(And this year I will again bring my solar powered Freezer to supply Root Beer
    Floats in the Desert.)

    Cheers,
    Paul

It's all fun and games till the 4 ton, 8 legged walking spider finds the stash of solar powered root beer!
I'm sure that's how comic books are made.

Sounds like a great time, but there really is no way I could do it this year. Next year by this time, I plan to be available for trips such as this.

Keep the list in the loop as to how it goes.

Sounds like it would be a kewl party. Suncreen would be high on the list. I've driven through Nevada desert many times (Lived in Lake Tahoe), once camped up at Angel Lake in the Ruby Mtns and also drove from SoCal to Lake Tahoe last summer, stopping in Manzanar, CA for the kids to see. The Desert is a HOT place...
