1960 Land Rover Series IIA for sale $25,900 OBO

Truck is a 1960 Series II not a IIA. Thanks 7/1/2014.

His name is "Alfie". Truck is UK built left hand drive. This truck is being imported from Colombia to Tampa, FL in July via my company Volcan 4x4, LLC.

We are bringing in Toyota Land Cruisers but now launching Land Rovers with this great truck. This is a rare UK built find in Colombia. We hope to bring in Land Rover Santanas too (built under license in Spain. great trucks too).

Truck was extensively restored in 2011 including rebuilt, engine, transmission, steering on and on. Zero rust.

Paint is about a 6 out of 10. Note the galvanized trim is painted over. However, the truck is very clean and gets a lot of attention. Truck starts up easily, shifts great and steers fantastic. Brakes are strong too.

We just added the following:

1. carb tune
2. new interior door panels
3. 4 new shocks and rear fabric bands
4. new Pirelli military 7.50 x 16 tires on restored Limestone color rims
5. new exhaust
6. new lap belts for 7 passengers

Truck has clean interior and top both new 3 years ago.

Truck needs nothing. I would suggest drive it for several years then do a quality repaint and new top and interior and a tune up and you will have a nice investment.

Also have a thick file with all the receipts and papers going back to 1987. Also 1987 letter referencing when the truck was imported into Colombia in 1960 and sold to a doctor. Truck was always pale green.

I am asking for a $5000 refundable deposit to my LLC to hold the truck. You can review the truck when it arrives in Tampa in July. We have sold 4 classic 4x4s so far and we strive to pick rare high quality models then restore/review them before exporting them. This "Alfie" is a GREAT truck and my personal favorite so far. Per the chassis and engine numbers the truck is actually a Series II not a Series IIA.

Chassis number 144005786. Engine number 151026858. Original 2.25 engine rebuilt 2011.

Just purchased a new battery. Hopefully signing papers to export the truck this week (7/1/2014).
