Thread: Prop shaft washer/seal

    Default Prop shaft washer/seal

I'm currently restoring a 65 early 2a, 88 station wagon 2.25. Upon taking the prop shafts apart I noticed what was left of a washer. Maybe cork or leather? Has anyone recut one of these jobbers? Looks like a surgical job to cut the slots for the splines. I'm told they are no longer available. Has anyone got experience with this feat or has a source/ alternate. This is my first post and I'm looking forward to the feedback. Thanks!

Believe it is a common Spicer part like the rest of the shaft. Try a local drive line shop.

Landrover have never offered this part separately, even on a Series I.
I also would suggest a local driveline shop.
