    Default Engine paint for Series Land Rover

    Is there a good quality, rattle can paint out there that approximates the original engine color of the Series II trucks?

    Closest I've seen is Detroit Diesel Green.

    Or on the early Series II (1959-1960) the engines were painted a Battleship Grey.

    Not to hijack the thread, but what about non-rattle can paint? I'm getting ready to start an engine rebuild and want to prime/paint with something really durable.

    The red ones were 5 Main Bearing engines (5MB) - more recent.
