Default Current recommendations for GL-4 gear oil?

Finding straight up GL-4 gear oil that is not, in fact, GL-5 seems to be tricky these days. What GL-4 oil are you using on your rigs that you are happy with (and able to easily source)?

    Thanks.

I have found that NAPA GL-4 80-90w is easy to get, although I had to special order it from my local store. But it only took a couple days to get.

Tractor supply stores or your local John Deere dealership. I buy 90wt in 5 gallon pails. You use a garden sprayer with the nozzle cut off as a filler. Be sure to get one that lets you lock the trigger on. They're like $15. Put a pan under the fill hole stick the end of the sprayer in the hole, lock the trigger and let it do its thing until you see the oil overflowing into your pan. Neat.

What's wrong with GL5? I put a whole bunch of it in my Rover a couple months ago when I topped everything off. Shouldn't matter it already needs more!

As I understand it, GL5 has additives that will eat the yellow metal in a series gearbox. That is why you need to stick with GL4 or something that says "yellow metal safe".
