    Default clutch return spring question

I installed a replacement transmission on my '60 Series 2 SWB. I have a new slave cylinder and I've bled it and have a firm pedal. . I replaced the spring that returns the lever, but it isn't strong enough. This is not the pedal return spring, it's the one adjacent to the slave cylinder shaft. The clutch shaft turns freely by hand so I don't think that's the the problem. The parts book says it's #278690, but I can't find it on the site.

I read that part number 264362 should be substituted for 278690 which seems to be NLA.

264362 is the spring that is used to hold the folding side-step in an "up" position. You might look in that direction.
