    Default Hand throttle control

Anyone ever install or remove a hand throttle control from a series? I have everything off except for the piece that attaches to the throttle rod (rod running along bulkhead). It appears that after all bolts removed it should just pull off but no such luck. Do I have to take the entire rod off to remove, hope not. Any tricks or prior experience? Advice appreciated.

You don't have to take the entire rod off, but one end must come loose so that you can slide it out of the bulkhead. The hand throttle assembly itself has several hidden bolts. Make sure that you have them all off. There are one or two that bolt up through the lower gauge plate and several at the back, if I remember right.
