    Default R380 Cooler

I have a 1985 110 with a V8, 4 speed LT95 that I am converting to a R380 transmission with LT230 Transfer case. I notice that Disco R380s have coolers. Do I have to have one in a 110? If so where did Land Rover mount them in 110s. I have the cooler and tubing from a 95 Disco that I can use. Thanks.

Where you're located you need all the cooling you can get (all automatic transmissions require a cooler). I don't know for sure where the cooler is mounted on a Defender, but on Discos (and Range Rovers) it's in front of the lower edge of the radiator.
