Thumbs up Rust prevention and Painting new side posts?

I removed my old sideposts and they fell apart into three rusted pieces. I do not want to replace them again. I purchased part RNC831, which says "manufactured with galvannealed steel then dipped in electrostatic E-Coat black primer for superior corrosion resistance. Ready for paint.".

Anyone have suggestions for treating the new posts even further
for maximum corrosion resistance...or can I just paint them as the RN description says?

    Thanks in advance.....

You should be fine. If you have anyplace that has a seemingly unexposed surface use Waxoyl cavity spray. (Inside door framing and the like.)
