    Default somethings a bubblin

on my 67 SIIA, beneath the carb are 4 bolts (fixins) that hold the exhaust manifold to the inlet manifold. I noticed yesterday whilst the truck was parked and at idle, there was a substance bubbling around one of the nuts. i took a wrench and tightened it, and the bubbling stopped. just wondering what that fluid was, seemed oily to the touch. any thoughts from the forum? thanks so much.

Sounds like a witch's brew! Watch out!

Seriously, if your Landy has a PCV system like my later Series III then it has oil vapors are going into the intake manifold to be burned. I suspect you have some liquid oil diluted by the carb's atomized gas that is oozing out of the bolt holes...
