    Default Wheel track measurement needed

Hello. I am in Florida and need to get a U-Haul car trailer for a IIA in Nebraska. The distance between the trailer inner decks is 42". The IIA has normal, rather than oversized tires. Could someone tell me the dimension between the inner treads of the tires? I just need to know if the IIA will fit on the trailer. Thanks so much, Robert

The track of a standard 2a is 51.5" . An 88" on original 6.00 x 16 tyres the gap between the wheels would be 51.5"- 6" = 45.5" If it has 7.50 x 16 size tyres it would be 51.5 - 7.5 = 44" . If its a later vehicle with the wheel offset on the outside I think you would be looking at 45" between the wheels as it makes the track 52.5". Depending on which wheels you have, and if you are running radials greater than 205 x 16 it could be getting tight. For instance 235 x 16 tyres on 569690 wheels would give a gap of circa 43.25". There is a huge variation in tyre widths which does make exact dimensions difficult.

Thanks a lot. The IIA is a 1963 NADA 88.
