    Default Les' latest project

    Hello,

Here's a pic of the current project, 1955 Austin A35 Van conversion.
Should be interesting over the next few years.

Great write up and restoration of an Austin A30/A35 that was presented to Nick Park.

I know those VT winters can get a bit long in the tooth, Les, But you seriously need help. Aren't there any of those interventions groups for Land Rover people?

    Terrys,

I probably do need help, though the last few years of building the Airportable, keeping the '92 Range Rover and '97 manual Discovery on the road have taken their toll.
The 300Tdi 90 should be rolling out of the garage soon, so the Austin will make a welcome break from Landrover products, though with the recent news from HQ, maybe I'll rebadge it to the Austin Madras........

The A35 is now down at the fab. shop, having new floors/sills and general body work done.
I'll post some pix of the progress as soon as I can.
    Will keep all posted.

If you do a nice job, and ask nicely, I'll tell you about a Mini Countryman woodie down here in CT that can be had pretty reasonably.

Les, When you finish the Austin, I know of a nice little Mini Countryman Woodie in a barn down here. Most of the wood is good too.
