Number 712 reporting in for the first time. Currently motoring around (slowly) between Baltimore and Annapolis Maryland. Quite crusty but very near original. I'm the third owner and know its history a bit. I would like to see SwingKeel's #380 in Baltimore to compare, plus I don't know what a few of the switches do etc.

I have some questions, not all of which are specific to NADA models:
Mounted underneath the middle bench seat, there are some clips. I assume a set of them hold the hand crank handle. What are the others for? Why are speedometer cables different for this truck than other 109s? Are valve cover gaskets still available?[the site hosts have them in the catalog, but the link doesn't work] Where can I get used parts? I'm missing a seat belt latch and a wiper arm return spring.

    Thanks-
    Josh

    Default Nada

    I have truck 34300211A

On the valve cover gaskets issue, find your local, jag and Bently repair shop... Have them set your tappets for you asap. Very hard to due on value 5 and 6 exhaust. Ask them to make you new cork ones.

They are expensive, but will be made right. 2.6l is great, as long as you care for it. It is a F head.

Please post some picture of the truck. Include engine bay and dash

Will a battery actually fit in the engine bay? Or is that an extra one? I see a bunch of cables. And what is the solenoid looking thing on the driver side inner fender well?

Yes it has a extra battery. Came stock with one under the drivers seat. Still in use ... Not sure who added it. They may have moved down/lower the brake servo that come with a NADA... for the second battery.. The warn has a direct connection to the battery in the bay

Fender well. Power comes from the second battery, run the fog lights, rear work lamp. There little, if any thing added to stock wiring.

    Hello all,
Would like to add my 67 nada truck to the registry. Number 55. Poppy red sold in New York originally. Have been welding the original frame where it had collapsed from quite a bit of rust but finally looking solid after many hours. Have renewed clutch and brake hydraulics, and lines and preparing to do footwells next while wings are off. Anyone have any history on this truck? Saw it referenced on this thread back in 09 being on eBay at the time. Would like to get one of these cool coffee mugs or two as well, where do I order? Thanks will post some photos once it's back together and driving!

I am the (new) 7th owner of #768. It was purchased from a gentleman in Georgia (who bought it from member Giorgio, see post #37). It now resides in the Tampa Bay area. #768 is a Carawagon "Continental" conversion, with most of the Carawagon stuff having been removed. It has had a Roverdrive added but otherwise appears mostly stock. Its in good running condition and rust free but it needs some TLC and will be getting upgrades.
