    Default Noise question.....youtube link enclosed...

    Hi.

Big favor: please click over to this post (my truck) on youtube and if you know what is wrong, please post. I am curious and wanted help BEFORE driving 50 miles to my mechanic and such....

1993 RRC LWB. The prior owner put a rebuilt engine in with a cam. Has a more free flowing exhaust. Plugs and wires are new and high end (racing wires).

Also, I am about to do the LT230 upgrade. Assuming the above is a cheap fix....anyone have wisdom to share (don't do it, love it, stick with a BW upgrade, etc.)?

    Thanks in advance everyone.

It's tough to diagnose through a video but to me it sounds like a lifter or valve train issue. The loud exhaust probably making it sound worse. God only knows what the PO meant by "rebuilt engine with a cam". As for the transfer case, if you're not having an issue with the BW I'd leave it for now although I've heard nothing but good things about the LT swap. I've got a1988 with the LT so I guess I'm one step ahead in that dept.!
    Good luck,

It was the right side cat. Lose bit. Fixed.

    Thanks.
