    Default Mayday S.O.S !

    Hi thanks for clicking,
My beloved 2000 P38 BOSCH 4.6 autobiography with 135,000 km is very sick, upon pulling in my drive after a short trip, she pissed out coolent like a champ. After checking various hoses i traced the leak to what seemed to be the water pump. After removing ac pump and altntr i could see it was actualy leaking from the top right corner of the mount that the water pump attaches to, or (the back part of the water pump that is attached to the block). The water pump is also now removed and seems to be intact the seals were good and thermostat seemed to be working fine.
Could this still be a water pump issue? (wishful thinking)
Is this the front cover gasket blown?
Is front cover gasket a big job?
Could this mean my head gaskets are gonna go soon as well?
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated as im not a mechanic and am in a deep pile of parts already .
    Cheers jonny
