-I used to know everything there was to know about Land Rovers; then I joined the RN Bulletin Board.
Cool headlights. Is that a spot light on the right wing? Does it rotate w/a control in the cab? Where did you find that?Originally Posted by jp-

This is my semi-nekked 1972 Series 3 SWB, i've been slowly stripping the paint off for some time now. I've done all three doors, vent panels, apron, right wing, front floor panels, rear interior light covers and part of the right quarter panel down to aluminum.
I've removed the body to do some bulkhead repair. Will be removing the drive train to have the frame hot dip galvanized this summer.

1972 NAS Series 88 SW
Two of my favorite Rovers. My first Rover a 1965 109 SW that I bought from an estate in Maine back in the late 80's. We knew that caretaker and bought a Rover in need of a complete rebuild. It sat at my Mom's place for years and then the I had Ted Howard of Maine rebuild her as I was on the West Coast by that time. The other 'Rover' is my dog Maggie who loves riding in Rovers, especially my 69 righthand drive 109 p-up - the toll booth attendants don't always like it of course!

I like the helmet! Very practical thinking!
Your series looks too nice to be taking it through all those messy places! But you look like you are having fun!!!
quite a few people have said that to me and the more i think about it, they are right. one rover owner even told me to go by a jeep for that stuff!Originally Posted by Rosie
