    Question 73 Series 3 88- Transmission problem

At least it maybe a transmission problem. I was driving last night and when I put it in gear I heard a pop. I tried 1st and reverse and it would not move, but would go into gear. So, I put it in 4 wheel drive and drove home with front wheel drive. I did a quick inspection when I got home, but everything looked normal. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Joe

And you're posting it here because you want to sell it to me for $1.00 right? Just kidding. Sounds like a rear axle shaft. Put it in 2 wheel drive, 1st gear and have a friend look under the truck to see if the rear drive shaft is turning. If so, you have a problem in the rear end somewhere. Like I said, most likely one of the shafts.

I have a used rear axle that I'll sell you.
If you are near Ct, I'll install it for you too (for a price)
