Default Need to prevent tire rubbing under full articulation, advice?

I have an OME medium lift all around with 245/75 R16 tires. The tires have never rubbed before, but on a trail ride with pretty extreme articulation recenly both rear tires came in contact with the inside fenders and sliced my tires up a bit.

On top of that, I've been annoyed that it looks like the rear of my truck sits lower than the front. I hate that saggy-in-back look.

What are my options? I assume stiffer springs in back (OME heavy?) would provide a little more lift and a firmer spring so the wheels wouldn't tuck up into the wheel wells so far under full articulation. Longer bump stops might be an idea but I have this awful image of bottoming out early going over bumps and an unpleasant ride. Or a 1"-2" body spacer in the rear only to level the truck out and give some extra tire clearance? I've seen ads for spring spacers, not sure what those are used for.

    Any advice?

A spring spacer goes under the rear spring seats and would level you out nicely. Several sources make them or you can make your own.

It probably rubbed in the front of the wheel well by the door. It's a sharp edge. I just took a hammer and bent the metal in.

BTW, KevinNY, I finally broke all those 10 splines I got from you and went to 24's in the rear. Thanks again.

I think I solved the problem by swapping out my rear springs for much stiffer and taller OME heavy duty ones. Washington Land Rover club trail ride next weekend - we'll see if this helps prevent the further damage.

I now have a pair of 12month new Old Man Emu medium rear springs. These springs add approximately 1.5" lift over stock. If you have original rear springs these will get your truck sitting level again (ahhh! priceless.) and it'll ride much better than your old worn springs.

Asking $100 for the pair, preferably someone in the Pacific Northwest.
