    Default LT77 fluid change/filter cleaning

I drained and replenished the fluid in my LT77 transmission with the prescribed DextronIII fluid. Upon completion, I realized that I forgot to remove and clean the small cylindrical filter in the bottom of the tranny case. I just bought the vehicle and don't know when the fluid was last changed. Should I just wait 'til the next change to remove and clean the filter or should I waste the freshly added fluid and do the job over again and clean the filter?

If you have a clean container to catch the fluid in you might want to go ahead and re-drain it and re-use the fluid. If you are brave and have an assistant you might be able to get the filter out and have the person plug the hole while you clean it and then try to get it back in quickly - however I think that is asking for a large mess. I'd drain it and clean it if you have any doubt.
