    Default MAR

Anyone here going? There is a good "swap-meet" thread over on discoweb (when it's up) and the ROVA website but not a lot of Series stuff being mentioned on either.

I have 5 15" Series wheels if anyone wants them, good shape. Trade for beer and/or Series knowledge!

Looking forward to talking to other Series owners and having some experienced people look my truck over as I've never even rode in another one. After all my work I'd like to know how close I got mine to "right".

I will be there, likely driving the wife's V8 109, but I might bring my 109 softop. I plan on having a few bits for the parts swap.

I will be there with the Stage One - there are usually plenty of Series trucks around at the MAR.

Maybe bring the Discovery down for a jolly.
Not much room for stuff though.
I'll be at the All Metal Dash weekend with the Sankey full of stuff, though.
Classic and some Series goodies, time to clear out the loft.

I think this year will provide a whole new geology experience to MAR entusiasts. The soil in this Peidmont area of Virginia is quite sandy without the typical clay and rock content of Uwharrie or from the other areas we have wheeled in the Blue Ridge.

With regards to the wellies - the sandy areas give way to serious swampy areas - seemingly bottomless - so you can go from flip flops on dry sand to knee deep in a wellie situation.

    It is gonna be fun.
