    Default Tire advice

Has anyone used Nokia WRG2's? I am looking for a tire primarily for getting through a foot or more of snow. '04 Disco, 18" wheels. The WRG2's look good for all around use, including snow...

I used the wr's on a saab. They worked very well, but the rubber is very soft and the tire wear was uneven. I would guess the weight of the disco would be a concern on this tire for wear. Presently, I have cooper discoverer on my 04 disco. I have 22k on tires with 3/32 wear and it is even all the way around. The best part is the tires are relatively inexpensive and they handle the weight really well. Tires are great in the snow, mud and rain. I live 40 miles out of town with 20 miles of muddy clay roads and am often locking the diff. I have also ised the General Grabber AT2, and really liked the traction ofthe tire, but I could not keep sidewalls from bubbling. The wear about the same as the coopers, but the sidewall concern was too much of a safety issue. I have also seen many rovers around here with the Terra Grappler tires, but have no experience. It is a farly open tread and would probably do well in the snow.

I am extremely pleased wit the cooper discoverer and will get another set. I expect to get 50-60k out of tires.

I should also clarify that I am looking at the SUV version of the WRG2, so weight shouldn't be an issue...
