Don't have many good pics b/c I am both the photographer and driver in this family (and clearly green at both)
This is a run off barrier on the P-Vine trails outside of Lynchburg VA off the Blueridge Parkway. Nothing too extreme, it would have gone up and over but my passenger didn't share my confidence.
Some timid photos (the wild ones are censored) from a weekend at Rausch Creek in the Pocono Mountains in PA to show that I got it dirty! Yup, thats mud that you see! Notice that extreme articulation as well!
Sorry Jeff, I had to do it . Dont worry, she was cleaned immediately once home.
Hey Ivar, is that a water bottle on the wing?!! I don't see a coaster
This is probably the best footage of my lightweight that I've seen outside of Rovering Moab.
Keep in mind, this is all on private land with the blessing of the land owner. Be absolutely sure you are wheeling legal. If you aren't sure then find a club that wheels legal. All the cool kids are legal so be cool too.
Trying to make the hill. It's deceptive.
Winching the first hard bit.
Then realizing my 10 spline rear popped. Yet again.
I was going through a period where I went from an awesome ARB 24 spline rear back to a standard 10 spline rear, and I could do nothing but snap half shafts. The half-shafts were all used and coming out of "the bucket" but still, once you go 24 you don't go 10 again. At least not very easily.

That's OK. I'm glad to see you having fun with it. The last time I got it that dirty I decided to take the whole darn thing apart to clean it. Then I figured while the engine was out there was no better time to rebuild it, and there were a few bent fins on the radiator so I had it re-cored, and...........well, you know the rest.
Ah, a full blown case of shipfitter's disease. I know the symptoms well.
Though I've never before heard of anyone getting it because their Land Rover got dirty. Deep dirt/grunge is a common cause for shipfitters disease among classic car owners that often go to club events and shows. I just didn't think it would jump the barrier as a causal for Land Rover shipfitter's disease.
Whatever the cause the result is usually a really nice vehicle.
