Surely there are more of us on this forum than this??

I think a Defender is a natural progression from the Series. Here are a couple more of my NAS.

This is my 110, when I got it, back in 2001, and now. I rebuilt it as it originally was, but got tired of looking at a dirty white truck, so, on it's 2nd rebuild, turned it into what I really wanted all along.

My wife bought me this for my christmas as a runabout. Its nice and the fuel economy is good for a Rover but it just isn't the same as my SIIA 109 or my 101.

It all has to do with 25 year old vehicles, they are not required to meet EPA (don't know about CA though) or safety measures since they are classified as a historic/classic vehicle (hence 25 years), now if the Govt. goes back and states that all vehicles must meet the safety standards set forth in the USA for that year, then importing 25 year old vehicles might stop.. The import paperwork (emissions EPA gets signed that the vehicle is older then 25 years and it is excluded). This is what I have done for my other vehicles.

Still getting more info on her, I am the first owner following release, picked it out from Withams.
New parts prior to release: engine fitted (less then 5k miles), exhaust, front end, brakes, brake lines, suspension, springs, tilt and canvas, fuel tank.

Will be adding some bits and bobs, maybe 200TDI upgrade and PAS, wolf rear seats, new front seats etc.
