Default 1995 RRC LWB Starting issues

I'm having a major issue with my RR starting. It turns over, revs high, low, high, low, cut out, but NO CODES ! If I disconnect the MAF it starts and runs rough, obviously in 'limp' (Open Loop) mode, but it throws a Code 12 which I would expect. If I disconnect any of the other sensors, IAF, Collent Temp, Fuel Rail Temp, Throttle sensor, I get no codes !

The ECU is obviously working, I'm getting 02, 12, 45 (after driving for a bit with no MAF) and 03 if I disconnect the battery (after getting tired of resetting all the codes ) but why is in Open Loop mode with only the MAF off.

UPDATE : OK. I spent an enlightening two hours last night with my favorite RR, a Haynes Manual, the RR Workshop Manual and a great article on diagnosing the 14CUX

Long and the short of it is, I went through every check on the ECU and the associated sensors and lo and behold, they all check out fine ! Everything is within spec (and seeing the voltages change with the TPS and MAF is pretty cool )

Now I'm left with the plugs, dizzy or ignition amplifier as the only culprits left, I think.

I'm still confused as to how the RR will start and run with the MAF off if it is the timing, any ideas ?

Found my issue, I was right, all the sensors were OK, the fuel pump was OK, the fuel filter was OK, the IACV was OK, the MAF was OK, it was the ECU !!!!!!

Swapped in a new (old but known working) one and she's back to life. Giggling at me, but back to life.
