    Question Transfer case

Looked through old post but didn't find out if I could take a 2003-4 transfer case and put it in my 2001 D2 so I'd have CDL. Anyone know?

Yes, you can. You need the case and shifter assembly (they are different).

First, do you have the CDL nipple on top of your existing t-case? If so, then you only need the shifter linkage with which to activate the diff lock and Hi-Lo.

    Second, the '03 D2 did NOT have CDL, so that's a non-starter.

Now, if you don't have the CDL nipple then you'll need the front portion of the '04 t-case. A '99 to early '01 t-case will work as well.
