How good is the black paint on a Turner Cyl Head?

I have a new Turner 8:1 head to go onto my fresh 2.25L shortblock and I have to decide to paint the head or not. The Turner head has been plainted w/ a seemingly thick black paint. Will that black paint hold up? Anyone have good or bad experiances with it? Thanks... TJR

I can't tell you if it will hold up, but it is very thick, tough paint. I don't like paint on the manifold mounting surface, so I removed the black paint in that area from my Turner engine - and it was a PITA to remove.

I've had one on my engine for about 8 years and its not showing signs of coming off. Mind you I am i nthe desert so corrosion is almost non existent.
