So I bought a wide track Sankey and it really looked a bit silly behind my Series III Lightweight. A bit to wide. So I put it on a diet and cut 6 inches out of the center of the box and the frame. It is all welded back togeather now including the brake rods and the sway bar. The bed/box is sand blasted, sanded, primed, painted and matching bed liner. Now to finish up the frame.
I have a new found respect for those "expensive" (correctly) restored trailers. Anyone who has a restored Sankey trailer and is selling it for less than $2500 is taking a big loss!!!
But I do enjoy this type of tinkering and I can not leave well enough alone. I will post pictures soon.
